I have taught College Composition and Literature since 1998 and High School English at all levels (including AP) since 2002. I enjoy the one on one aspect of tutoring. I have taken classes in the pedagogy of teaching composition and in teaching creative writing. I like using a creative approach in getting students invested in learning.

I am an avid reader of young adult fiction and I keep abreast of current cinema and music in order to better relate to today's teenagers and young adults. It keeps me young! I am a hiker and swimmer and I enjoy science fiction and fantasy films and books. I am interested in art and the intersection of various kinds of art and popular culture.
